These hot ham and cheese sliders are so easy and the perfect appetizer for your next gathering.
They’re made with King’s Hawaiian Rolls, deli ham and swiss, caramelized onions, mayo, honey mustard and a yummy garlicky butter topping. Honestly, what’s not to love?
Here’s what you’ll need to be the hit of your next party:
King’s Hawaiian Rolls: These truly shine in this recipe.
Deli ham & swiss: Make sure you aren’t getting thick-cut because it’ll take longer to melt the inside.
Caramelized onions: You can use my recipe for Caramelized Red Onions to get the perfect batch.
Honey mustard & mayo: I combine both for this recipe.
Worcestershire: For the topping.
Garlic: I grate garlic for this. Keep in mind it can get strong fast, so grate less than you think and taste test.
Melted butter: Also for the topping.
Here’s what to do:
Get your oven preheated to 350 degrees F.
Now you’ll take your Hawaiian rolls (notice that they comes as one big piece of rolls) and slice them with a serrated knife horizontally (this is so that you now have a top and a bottom). Once done, add the mayo and honey mustard to both the top and the bottom, spreading it out into an even layer.
Next, add the ham, swiss, another layer of ham and then the caramelized onions and put the top back on.
Melt your butter, add the grated garlic, worcestershire and salt and stir, then brush on top of the rolls.
Now cover your rolls with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, uncover and bake another 15 minutes.
Now remove the rolls from the oven and get them on to a cutting board. I like to use a serrated knife to precut all of the sandwiches so that it’s easier to grab for my guests. I also brush them with a little melted butter and sprinkle with some chopped parsley.
