Goat Cheese Balls

Fried goat cheese balls made with fresh goat cheese, eggs, panko breadcrumbs, and spices. Drizzle with honey and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4 oz fresh goat cheese cut into 8 pieces and rolled into small balls
  • 2 eggs whisked with a pinch of salt and pepper
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, and paprika
  • honey for drizzling

Instructions

  • Dredge each goat cheese balls in the egg and then the panko, then re-dredge again to double layer it.
  • Add parchment paper to a plate and add the cheese balls. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  • Add vegetable oil to a cast iron skillet until it reaches ~1.5 inches. Bring to about 350 degrees F and drop 4 balls in the oil at a time. Turn them until they are beautifully golden. This will only take about 2-3 minutes. Remove to a papertowel-lined plate. Then drizzle with honey and serve warm.
