Servings: 8 goat cheese balls
- 4 oz fresh goat cheese cut into 8 pieces and rolled into small balls
- 2 eggs whisked with a pinch of salt and pepper
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, and paprika
- honey for drizzling
Dredge each goat cheese balls in the egg and then the panko, then re-dredge again to double layer it.
Add parchment paper to a plate and add the cheese balls. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
Add vegetable oil to a cast iron skillet until it reaches ~1.5 inches. Bring to about 350 degrees F and drop 4 balls in the oil at a time. Turn them until they are beautifully golden. This will only take about 2-3 minutes. Remove to a papertowel-lined plate. Then drizzle with honey and serve warm.
