Caramelized Red Onions
These sweet and jam-like caramelized onions and perfect for topping burgers, sandwiches or anything else you can dream up.

Servings: 1 cup
- 5 red onions sliced ½ inch thick
- 2 tbs worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Add everything to a skillet with high sides. Cook over medium high heat, stirring continuously, until onions begin to soften. About 10 minutes.
Turn the heat to low and let slowly cook for about 45 minutes to 1 house. Let onions stick a bit to brown, and then stir. Add a splash of water if things are drying up. Once at your desired consistency, remove from heat and proceed with whatever recipe you need them for.
