This pumpkin spice syrup tastes like quintessential fall. Made with pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, ginger, vanilla, and brown sugar, it’s perfect for making your own pumpkin spice lattes.

Honestly, I’m a PSL girl through and through — but the fall is EXPENSIVE when all I’m doing is dropping my hard-earned cash at the coffee shop. So, this homemade pumpkin spice syrup is a total lifesaver (and crazy delicious, too!).
Pumpkin Spice Syrup Ingredients

Here’s what you need for this simple autumn syrup:
Pumpkin puree: For that signature flavor
Pumpkin pie spice (& ginger): I love using pumpkin pie spice because it already has every spice included! The only extra I add is ground ginger (when I don’t see it in the ingredients).
Brown sugar: For sweetness
Vanilla extract: For subtle vanilla flavor
Water: For the syrup
Salt: To bring it all together
How to Make Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Here’s how to make this recipe:
Step 1: Add everything to a pot

Add all of the ingredients to a pot over medium heat. Bring it to a boil and then lower it slightly and let it cook for ~10 minutes. It will look like a beautiful lava:

Once the pumpkin and sugar are melted (and the syrup can slightly coat the back of a spoon), remove from heat and allow to cool completely. It will thicken a bit when it cools.
