Slow Cooker Apple Butter

Apple Butter is a smooth, rich, highly concentrated form of apple sauce that — contrary to the name — contains literally no butter! It’s so good to spread on toast, to top ice cream, or to use in other recipes

Let’s get started!

Add chopped apples, brown sugar, white sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla bean paste, lemon zest, and salt to your slow cooker. Cook on low for 10-12 hours.

Use an immersion blender to blend until the apples are smooth.

Turn the slow cooker to high and angle the top so that air can escape. Cook until thickened (about 1–2 hours).

The apple butter should be smooth, thick, and beautiful.

Enjoy your apple butter!
